Steele Creek is getting a new high-altitude hangout this fall, with a botanical cocktail bar, pizza, shared plates and a greenhouse-style space planned for the top floor of a Hilton hotel. Dear Charlotte is shaping up to be less sleepy hotel lounge and more all-day gathering spot with views, DJs and plenty of room to linger.
According to The Charlotte Observer, Dear Charlotte will open on the sixth floor of the Hilton Garden Inn Steele Creek-Charlotte, bringing bright, floral botanical cocktails alongside personal-sized artisan pizzas, shared plates and vegan-friendly dishes. The concept is being developed by Maya Hotels, the Charlotte-based hospitality company behind the hotel.
The Hilton lists the property at 4936 Trojan Drive and describes it as minutes from Charlotte Premium Outlets, nearby restaurants, I-485 and Charlotte Douglas International Airport. That puts Dear Charlotte in a part of southwest Charlotte built around shopping, travel and sprawling suburban dining rather than rooftop cocktail culture—which is precisely what makes the pitch interesting.
A Greenhouse, Patio And Room For A Crowd
The space will include a 100-seat dining room, according to The Charlotte Observer. Outside, a 1,744-square-foot patio will add capacity for another 100 guests, while a 344-square-foot greenhouse will accommodate up to 50 people for smaller gatherings and private events.
Two DJ stations are also planned, allowing the venue to shift from daytime meetups into evening service and private parties. The programming suggests Dear Charlotte is being designed as a flexible social space—not merely a place for hotel guests to grab a drink before turning in.
Maya Hotels Is Betting On A More Social Steele Creek
Maya Hotels’ leadership team includes co-CEOs Parimal Thakor and Krishna Deva, who have described the company’s hospitality approach as centered on creating places where people feel welcome. In a company update, Maya Hotels said the pair are guiding the firm’s next phase together.
Dear Charlotte’s exact opening date has not been announced, but the fall debut will add another destination to Steele Creek’s expanding food-and-drink lineup. For locals, the draw may be simple: botanical drinks upstairs, pizza on the patio and a greenhouse waiting when the weather—or the group chat—calls for something a little more polished.
