Sunday night gunfire rattled the busy corner of E. 187th Street and Webster Avenue in Fordham Heights, leaving a 44-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the thigh. EMS rushed her to St. Barnabas Hospital, and police say she is expected to recover.
According to News12 New York, the shooting broke out just before 9 p.m. Responding officers found the woman at the intersection and immediately requested medical help. Investigators are now looking for two men described as wearing white T-shirts, both with dreadlocks. No arrests have been made as detectives continue working the case.
