Weatherford’s restaurant scene has a new reservation headache: Teddy Wong’s, the Fort Worth dumpling favorite, is now serving its Chinese-meets-Texas menu from the historic courthouse square. The early buzz is centered on Wagyu pot stickers, Texas-style beef and enough wine to turn a dumpling run into a full evening.
According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the new dining room occupies the former Zeno’s space and is open for lunch and dinner daily. Early standouts include Mongolian-style Texas beef, Wagyu beef pot stickers, pork, chicken and vegetable dumplings, kung pao shrimp, orange chicken and a chocolate-dumpling dessert with chocolate sauce and strawberry.
What Weatherford Diners Are Ordering
The menu’s signature move is pairing familiar Chinese dishes with Texas ingredients and a more polished dining-room approach. Teddy Wong’s official food menu lists hot oil pork wontons, pork soup dumplings, truffle mushroom dumplings, shrimp and cilantro dumplings, spicy wok-fired har gow and Wagyu pot stickers.
The Texas influence is most obvious in the wok section, where diners can choose Texas Mongolian beef, Texas beef with longhorn peppers or Texas beef and broccoli. Those dishes are priced at $20, while the broader entrée lineup generally lands between $15 and $20, according to the Star-Telegram’s report.
This is the second Teddy Wong’s location, following the original’s 2023 debut in Fort Worth’s Near Southside. CultureMap Fort Worth reported that the restaurant had already built a strong following in Cowtown, including a 2025 CultureMap Tastemaker Award for Restaurant of the Year.
Hours And Reservations
The restaurant’s Weatherford location page lists hours from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. It currently says Weatherford reservations are available by phone, with takeout also offered through the restaurant’s ordering platform.
For Parker County diners, the appeal is straightforward: a full-service Chinese restaurant with handmade dumplings, Texas beef, cocktails and a serious wine program, right on the square. The only difficult part may be deciding whether to start with soup dumplings or pot stickers.
