A man riding a bicycle was killed Wednesday when a 2022 Tesla Model 3 struck him on East Colonial Drive near Woodbury Road in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the bicyclist died at the scene. The Tesla's driver, a woman, was taken to a hospital with what authorities described as minor injuries, and eastbound lanes at Woodbury Road were temporarily shut down while investigators worked through the debris and measurements.
Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are leading the investigation, and the agency has not publicly released the bicyclist's name.
