No Suspect Named As Detectives Work The Case
Dallas Police say they have not yet identified a suspect, and no arrests have been made in connection with the attack. Investigators remained on scene into the morning, collecting evidence and speaking with potential witnesses.
FOX 4 reports the department is treating the case as an ongoing investigation and has not released additional details about the victim or a possible motive. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.
Summer Violence Along The Same Stretch
The same corridor has already seen deadly violence this summer. On June 17, the Dallas Police Department reported a fatal stabbing in the 2800 block of Peavy Road that led to an arrest, according to the department's DPD Beat blog. That posting also provided contact information for detectives handling that case.
Police have not released the latest victim's name or further details about Wednesday's attack. This story will be updated as the Dallas Police Department releases more information.
