A 22-year-old Conklin man was killed early Thursday when his pickup left East River Road in Twin Lake and rolled multiple times, according to Muskegon County authorities. The driver, identified as Isaiah Kooiman, died at the scene of the single-vehicle crash involving a 2019 GMC Sierra. The rollover was reported around 12:05 a.m. in Muskegon County.
How the crash unfolded
Muskegon County Sheriff’s deputies told MLive the crash happened in the 5200 block of East River Road. They said Kooiman’s 2019 GMC Sierra left the roadway and rolled several times before coming to rest. Trinity Health EMS and the Dalton Township Fire Department responded to the scene, where deputies said Kooiman was pronounced dead.
