Two people were found dead Thursday near a DeLand intersection, prompting a death investigation as police worked to identify the victims and notify their next of kin.
According to WESH 2, DeLand Police said investigators were working near the 100 block of North Florida Avenue and West Indiana Avenue. Police urged drivers to use caution while traveling through the area.
Police Await Victim Identification
The investigation remained in its earliest stages Thursday morning. Authorities had not released the victims’ identities, cause of death or any details indicating how the two people died while officers worked to notify relatives.
