According to the Washington Business Journal, Five Iron plans to take over a two-level space at Capital One Center that will combine a full-service bar and restaurant with the company’s simulator technology. The outlet also reports that at least a half-dozen similar indoor golf spots are on the way across Northern Virginia, signaling that this particular sport is not just staying on the fairway.
Why Capital One Center?
Capital One Center has been developed as an experience-first campus, anchored by Capital One Hall, rooftop installations and a steadily expanding mix of restaurants and entertainment tenants. The project’s own materials spotlight year-round events and street-level retail, which make it a natural landing spot for an "eatertainment" concept like Five Iron, especially with built-in transit access and a busy event calendar. Capital One Center describes the property as a hub for arts, dining and outdoor programming.
Five Iron's D.C. roots
Five Iron already has a sizable footprint in the District, with a large Penn Quarter location that opened during the pandemic and combines simulator bays, a putting green and a full kitchen and bar.
