A West Seattle smoke shop was reportedly robbed again late Wednesday, with two masked suspects fleeing south on 35th Avenue after one was seen carrying a gun with an extended magazine.
Officers were sent to Global Smoke & Vape near 35th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Roxbury Street after a panic-button alert, according to West Seattle Blog. The suspects were described as a Black man in his 20s wearing a black ski mask and a second person dressed entirely in black; the first suspect was estimated at about 5 feet 5 inches tall, while the second was described as roughly 5 feet 9 inches.
The store was also reported hit in June, when three people allegedly rushed inside and grabbed merchandise in what officers described as a smash-and-grab, an earlier report said. In a separate 2024 incident, the Seattle Police Department documented a robbery at a smoke shop in the 9400 block of 35th Avenue Southwest involving three suspects, one reportedly carrying a gun.
West Seattle Stores Have Seen Other Armed Robberies
The latest report comes amid a string of overnight holdups that has drawn attention from Seattle police. In April, KIRO 7 reported three armed robberies within about 30 minutes, including two at West Seattle convenience stores; police said the suspects in those cases might have been connected.
No arrests or injuries were included in the initial account of Wednesday night’s incident. The suspects were last seen running southbound on 35th Avenue, and the case remains at the preliminary description stage.
