As reported by The Daily Record, First Sgt. C.D. Lowry shared initial details with media, explaining that the SUV ran off the roadway before striking a tree. The outlet identified the responding trooper as C.J. Edwards and described the wreck as a single-vehicle collision that left the driver dead.
