Hernando County Fire Rescue crews were working a structure fire last night in Brooksville, with the active scene prompting a warning for people to stay away from the area.
In an alert posted late Wednesday, Hernando County Fire Rescue said firefighters were on scene of a working structure fire in the 70 block of A Street and advised the public to avoid the area while crews worked. The initial alert did not include information about injuries, the extent of damage, the fire’s cause or whether the blaze had been brought under control.
Fire Scene Details Remain Limited
Residents and drivers should give the 70 block of A Street a wide berth rather than approach the scene, particularly as emergency vehicles continue operating in the area. HCFR had not yet said whether the roadway was formally closed.
Additional details about occupants, possible evacuations, injuries, damage and the fire investigation were not included in the initial notification. The situation remains developing as crews continue their response.
