A Wednesday morning commute in Commerce City turned deadly when a motorcycle and a vehicle collided on a ramp off Colorado Boulevard near the 5300 block, killing the rider and shutting down the roadway while police investigated.

According to the Commerce City Police Department, the crash involved a motorcycle and a vehicle and resulted in the rider's death on the ramp. Investigators from the department's Traffic Team responded to process the scene, and the ramp was closed while they worked.
Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and has been cooperating with investigators. A preliminary look at the crash, according to the department, indicates the motorcycle appeared to be traveling the wrong way on the ramp.
