Hagerstown police say officers were dispatched just after 5 p.m. on July 17 to the 1700 block of Dual Highway after reports of a two-vehicle crash. Responding crews found a motorcycle and a Subaru at the scene; the motorcyclist was pronounced dead there, and the Subaru driver was transported to Meritus Medical Center for treatment, according to DC News Now.

Police and local reporting identified the rider as 20-year-old Clayton Hendrix of Smithsburg, Maryland. The Hagerstown Police Department's Crash Reconstruction Team was called in to examine the vehicles and the roadway as part of an ongoing probe, Tri-State Alert reports.
