18-Wheeler T-Bones Car on I-85 Ramp Near Blacksburg, Injuring Two

Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when a tractor-trailer t-boned another vehicle on the Interstate 85 South on-ramp near a QuikTrip gas station in Blacksburg, South Carolina, causing the smaller vehicle to flip over and catch fire. Emergency medical crews transported both people from the scene, and fire officials say several departments from both South Carolina and North Carolina responded to help.

According to FOX Carolina News, fire officials said the 18-wheeler collided with another vehicle, causing it to flip and burst into flames. The outlet, citing the Antioch Fire Department, reported that several fire crews converged on the scene of the fiery wreck. Cherokee County Emergency Management, along with the Grover Fire Department, Blacksburg Fire Department, Buffalo Fire Department, and Cleveland County EMS were all reported at the scene.

The QuikTrip gas station is near the I-85 ramp where the crash occurred. North Carolina agencies, including the Grover Fire Department and Cleveland County EMS, were among the responders listed at the scene.
