The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities have not released his name.
Officers reported no signs of foul play, according to CBS Sacramento, though the circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, per police. The block where the man was found sits roughly three blocks from Placerville Police Department headquarters at 730 Main Street, according to the City of Placerville.
