Louisville fans have a fresh way to wear the Cards before the first kickoff of 2026: Adidas is rolling out a team-branded Adizero running shoe in the program’s signature colors. The catch is that these are performance runners first and tailgate flex second, so your feet may get more mileage than your game-day shirt.
Part of Adidas’ new college football-themed Adizero collection, the Louisville version pairs a light upper with Cardinal red and black accents, according to The Courier Journal. The Cardinals name appears on the tongue, while the insole carries Louisville branding and the three stripes arrive in team colors.
Where To Buy The Louisville Adizero Shoes
The clearest retail route is Lids, which lists the unisex Louisville Cardinals adidas Adizero EVO SL EXO sneakers at $160. The page is currently taking reservations and says pairs are expected to ship on or before Friday, Aug. 14, with listed sizing from men’s 5/women’s 6 through men’s 15/women’s 16. It also shows free shipping with code SWOOSH, although promotions can change.
A separate listing at the official Louisville Cardinals store shows an Adizero Evolution SL model for $159.99, but it is marked out of stock. Given that status, fans chasing the Cardinal colorway may want to keep an eye on multiple retailers rather than wait for a last-minute restock.
What Makes The Shoes A Louisville Release
This is not just a white running shoe with a tiny logo tucked somewhere near the heel. The Louisville edition features an allover Cardinal red-and-black treatment on Adidas’ three stripes, plus school branding on the tongue and sockliner, as detailed by The Courier Journal.
The underlying Adizero EVO SL EXO platform is built around Adidas’ Exoskeleton fit system, Lightstrike Pro cushioning and a rubber outsole, according to Adidas. In other words, the shoes are meant to handle actual miles, even if their loudest assignment may be making a Louisville outfit look considerably more coordinated.
A Preseason Drop With A Short Runway To Kickoff
The timing is convenient for fans who want to break in a pair before Louisville opens the season against Ole Miss on Sept. 6 in Nashville. The Cardinals’ home opener follows Sept. 11 against Villanova, according to the University of Louisville Athletics schedule, giving the new sneakers an early-season stage in the stands.
