Atlanta-based facial studio Faced is opening its first location outside Georgia at Specialty Shops SouthPark, taking a 1,761-square-foot space near the Roxborough Road entrance, right next to Drybar and close to Williams Sonoma. The North Carolina debut lands at 6401 Carnegie Blvd. in Charlotte, though no exact opening date has been confirmed as the studio is planned to launch later in 2026.
The move was first detailed by WhatNow, which reported that Specialty Shops SouthPark, owned by Hill Partners Inc., is now fully leased ahead of Faced's arrival. Faced was launched in Atlanta in May 2021 by former New York City fashion professional Ansley Bowman alongside family friend Martha Moore, according to Simply Buckhead, which reported the pair started the brand after finding that traditional spas lacked evening appointment flexibility and transparent pricing for regular skin maintenance.
A Flat-Rate Model Aimed at Ending Spa Add-On Fees
Faced's whole pitch rests on pricing transparency. Rather than tacking on extra charges for corrective add-ons, the studio flat-prices 30-minute and 50-minute custom facials, with treatments like chemical peels, dermaplaning, and LED light therapy included at no extra charge, per the same account from Simply Buckhead, which noted the appointments launched at $60 and $100 respectively — a contrast to typical spas that can add $30 to $100 or more per treatment.
At the Charlotte studio, estheticians will analyze each client's skin before choosing treatments, selecting enhancements according to each client's specific needs. Thirty-minute appointments typically include one enhancement, while fifty-minute services may include two to three, according to the seed reporting. Beyond chemical peels and dermaplaning, the menu spans microdermabrasion, lymphatic drainage, and gua sha, all folded into the same flat rate.
Georgia Roots, First Stop Outside the State
Faced currently operates four locations in Georgia, all housed in prominent open-air retail developments including Buckhead Village, Morningside Village, Westside Provisions District, and Avenue East Cobb in Marietta, according to the brand's own site, cited by Faced. The Charlotte studio marks the company's first footprint beyond its home state, and it is arriving with design continuity: Faced worked with Atlanta-based Square Feet Studio to build out a custom retail environment featuring sculpted forms, plaster wall finishes, and glowing ambient lighting meant to create a serene, bespoke atmosphere across its locations, per Square Feet Studio's project documentation.
SouthPark's Retail Reshuffle Sets the Stage
Faced's arrival is part of a broader leasing push at Specialty Shops SouthPark. Hill Partners announced in July that California-based home furnishings retailer Serena & Lily also signed a lease to make its North Carolina statewide debut at the same center, pairing two first-to-market luxury brands under one roof, per Hill Partners' announcement.
That leasing momentum came shortly before real estate investment firm Asana Partners acquired the 65,000-square-foot center from Hill Partners for $60 million in July, according to Commercial Real Estate Direct. Hoodline previously reported on the center's sale process when brokers first put the property on the market. Originally built in 1979, the open-air center sits directly across from SouthPark Mall and serves nearby high-income neighborhoods including Myers Park, Foxcroft, Quail Hollow, and Barclay Downs, according to Hill Partners. The firm had owned and managed the property since 2014, assembling a tenant roster that grew to include Drybar, Sid Mashburn, Studio Fire, and LAKE before selling the center this year.
Faced's expansion also fits a wider industry pattern. Specialized facial studios built around recurring membership models are a growing segment in personal care, generating steady monthly subscription revenue while capturing higher margins through attached retail skincare sales compared with traditional full-service day spas, according to data from BizMetricsHQ. The brand has also kept expanding its treatment menu at existing studios, adding cold therapy options like ice globes in July to address seasonal post-sun barrier repair and clogged pores, per a post from Faced.
