Wednesday night will be mostly clear, but the low will only dip to around 78 degrees. Thursday brings another mostly sunny day near 99, with the heat index potentially climbing to 107 as humidity builds.
Hot And Mostly Dry Through Tuesday
The stubborn pattern continues Friday through Sunday, with highs near 98 each day and overnight lows around 77. Monday should reach about 97 degrees, followed by another 98-degree afternoon Tuesday, while rain chances remain between zero and 5% around Austin.
The forecast discussion leaves open a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms over the Coastal Plains Thursday and Friday afternoons, but says most locations will stay dry. In other words, Austin is looking at a mostly sunny stretch with very little help from the clouds.
