Authorities on Hawaiʻi Island are asking the public to help locate two brothers, ages 8 and 6, who were last seen leaving the Mountain View area on bicycles. The boys may be traveling together, and police consider them endangered because of their young ages.
Daltin Soares, 8, and his 6-year-old brother, Destin Soares, were last seen Monday afternoon in the Aloha Estates subdivision, according to Big Island Now. Police said the children were reported as runaways, but their ages prompted the endangered designation.
Descriptions Released For The Missing Brothers
Daltin is described as Hawaiian, 4 feet 2 inches tall and about 60 pounds, with short brown hair, brown eyes and a tan complexion. He was last seen wearing a light blue shirt and black shorts, while Destin is described as 4 feet tall and about 50 pounds, with the same hair, eye and complexion description, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and blue shorts, as detailed by Big Island Now.
Anyone who sees either child or has information that could help locate them is urged to call 911 or contact the Hawaiʻi Police Department at 808-935-3311, according to the Hawaiʻi Police Department. The department lists 911 for emergencies and 808-935-3311 as its non-emergency line.
