A 65-year-old man was allegedly punched repeatedly and bitten on the left cheek during a midday dispute in Brooklyn, and police are now asking the public to help identify the attacker.
Police Say Argument Escalated Near Rockaway Parkway
According to NYPD Crime Stoppers, the victim was in front of 241 Rockaway Parkway at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday when he got into a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual. Police say the person punched him multiple times in the face, then bit his left cheek.
The public appeal did not name the suspect or announce an arrest. It also did not provide additional details about what sparked the argument or the victim's condition after the assault.
Anonymous Tips Could Bring Cash Reward
The police appeal directs anyone with information to call NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or send a direct message to @nypdtips. NYC 311 says tipsters may remain anonymous, and information leading to an arrest and indictment in a violent felony case can qualify for a reward of up to $3,500.
