Charlotte's latest Mecklenburg County booking gallery includes a wide spread of allegations, from attempted first-degree murder and kidnapping to impaired driving, trespassing and an alleged street takeover. The roundup reflects recent bookings, not convictions, and the cases may change as they move through court.
The 55-slide gallery posted Tuesday by WCCB Charlotte lists Quran Shannon on an attempted first-degree murder charge and Donnell Wilson on a street takeover charge. Other entries include Christopher Gause, listed on an attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon charge, and several people facing larceny, drug, weapons or resisting-officer allegations.
Some of the most serious listings involve multiple charges. Kayden Browne is listed on first-degree kidnapping, first-degree forcible rape and assault-on-a-female charges, while Jermaine McCall is listed on robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree kidnapping and felony conspiracy charges.
Multiple Charges Fill The August 3 Booking List
The gallery also lists Christopher Davis on second-degree forcible rape and felony stalking charges, James Johnson on felony cocaine-possession charges, and Gerson Barrientos on a charge involving possession of a stolen firearm. Jennifer Bower is listed on impaired-driving, open-container and resisting-officer charges, while other bookings involve probation or parole violations, second-degree trespassing and habitual larceny.
Booking Records Are Not Convictions
The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office says arrest information is public but cautions that criminal charges should not be confused with convictions. Everyone listed remains presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
For case status, hearing dates and court documents, the North Carolina Judicial Branch directs users to its eCourts system, where records can be searched by name, citation number or county. A booking gallery by itself does not show whether a charge was dismissed, reduced or resolved.
