A 65-year-old man riding a bicycle was in critical condition Monday after a Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority bus was involved in a collision near Lorain and Clark avenues in Cleveland.
Cleveland police were called to the area around 4:15 a.m. for a crash involving the bus and bicyclist. Responding officers found the man injured, and he was transported to Metro Hospital in critical condition, according to News 5 Cleveland.
The initial report did not identify the bicyclist, specify which RTA route was involved or explain what led to the collision. It also did not say whether anyone else was injured.
Earlier RTA-Bike Crash Also Sent Rider To Hospital
The crash follows a separate January collision in Cleveland involving an RTA bus and a bicyclist near the Cedar-University area. One person was taken to a hospital with a leg injury, and a GCRTA spokesperson said the cause was not immediately clear, according to Cleveland 19.
