Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop after 1 p.m., with the rain chance reaching about 50% during the afternoon. According to the National Weather Service, some storms could produce damaging winds, hail, heavy rain and an isolated tornado threat if conditions come together.
The most active window appears to run from midafternoon into the early evening, when temperatures remain in the upper 80s. Storms may continue sporadically after sunset, but the severe-weather threat is expected to ease by the middle to late evening.
Fog And More Storm Chances Friday
Thursday night will stay unsettled, with scattered storms and a low near 70 degrees. Patchy fog could develop late overnight, especially after 2 a.m., creating a murky start to Friday before 8 a.m.
Friday brings partly sunny skies, a high near 88 and a 30% chance of additional showers and thunderstorms. Winds will be light and northerly, so the day should feel less blustery even if the air remains warm and humid.

Saturday is shaping up to be mostly sunny with a high near 88, followed by a partly cloudy night around 70. Sunday should be sunnier and warmer, reaching about 90 with only a small rain chance.
Mid-90s Return Early Next Week
The heat builds again Monday and Tuesday, when highs are forecast near 94 degrees under mostly sunny skies. The weather service says heat indexes could reach roughly 98 to 103 degrees early to midweek, with readings potentially edging toward 105 by Tuesday and Wednesday.
