Dan + Shay are rolling back into Tampa Bay this fall, bringing their Young Tour to the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds on October 16. The Grammy-winning country duo will be joined by former Florida Georgia Line member Tyler Hubbard and Canadian singer-songwriter Josh Ross as special guest openers, rounding out a lineup built for a big night at the 20,000-capacity outdoor venue, the largest concert-only space in the Tampa Bay area.
The Tampa stop was first reported by WFLA, which noted the Grammy-winning duo is heading out on a tour across the country behind a newly released album. That album, according to Backstage Country, is called Young — a 10-track, sixth studio release put out through Warner Records Nashville this past Friday, August 21. The record leans into an autobiographical, crossover country sound and includes a collaboration with ACM Entertainer of the Year Cody Johnson on a track titled The Old Guys.
A Heavier Theme Behind the New Music
The album's lead single, Say So, marks a notable shift for a duo once best known for wedding-ready pop-country ballads. Per the same Backstage Country report, the song tackles suicide prevention and was written following the death of the duo's mentor and Warner Chappell Music executive, Ben Vaughn. The track has since earned an official endorsement from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
The Young Tour itself spans 26 North American amphitheater and arena dates, according to Chalkys.com, kicking off September 11 in Noblesville, Indiana, and wrapping November 7 in Mountain View, California. Tampa's October 16 date places it roughly midway through the nearly two-month run, with Tyler Hubbard and Josh Ross set to open at every one of the 26 stops, as reported by Consequence.
What Tampa Bay Fans Need to Know About Tickets
General public ticket sales opened back on May 22, and Dan + Shay made a point of keeping the show accessible, with general admission lawn tickets starting at $35, per Live Nation Concerts. Fans who miss the Tampa show, or want to catch it twice, have another nearby option: Tampa is the first of back-to-back Florida stops, immediately followed by an October 17 performance at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, according to Consequence.
This will not be the duo's first time playing the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre. Dan + Shay previously performed there in August 2024 on their Heartbreak on the Map Tour, following an April 2022 stadium show at Tampa's Raymond James Stadium alongside Kenny Chesney, according to Concertful. The return trip underscores a steady demand for the duo in the Tampa market over the past several years.
Grammy Pedigree and a New Business Chapter
Dan + Shay carry serious industry credentials into this run. The duo made Grammy history by becoming the first act to win Best Country Duo/Group Performance three consecutive years, taking home trophies in 2019, 2020, and 2021 for Tequila, Speechless, and 10,000 Hours, per MusicRow. Those wins remain a touchstone for a career that has since moved from radio-friendly love songs toward more personal songwriting.
Behind the scenes, the duo also restructured their business operations ahead of this album cycle. In November 2025, Dan + Shay signed a new management deal with Chief Music Management to oversee the next phase of their career and touring operations, MusicRow reported at the time. That deal appears to have set the stage for the scale of the Young Tour and the accompanying album rollout now bringing the duo back to Tampa Bay stages.
