Nevada State Police said the crash occurred on northbound I-11 at the MLK northbound on-ramp. In an alert posted late Saturday, the agency said all northbound travel lanes were closed and urged drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes, according to a Nevada State Police alert.
Traffic diverted toward northbound I-15
Police directed all northbound I-11 traffic off onto the I-11/Casino Center on-ramp, with drivers told to continue north on I-15. The initial alert did not include the number of people killed, the circumstances of the crash or an estimated time for the freeway to reopen.
