The first showers and thunderstorms could arrive after 10 p.m. today, with the best chance between roughly 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Rain chances remain limited at about 30%, so many neighborhoods may stay dry, but late-night plans should keep an eye on the sky.

Saturday Is The Weekend Weather Problem

Tomorrow looks like the wettest day of the forecast, with showers possible as early as 8 a.m. and thunderstorms becoming more likely from late morning through the afternoon. The high should reach near 80 degrees, with an 80% chance of precipitation and rainfall totals generally between a tenth and a quarter inch.

A few afternoon storms could approach severe strength tomorrow as the front moves through southeast Michigan, although the overall risk remains limited. No watches, warnings, or advisories are currently listed for Detroit, but residents with outdoor plans should have an indoor backup and head inside if thunder is heard.

Sunday Clears Out And Cools Down

Showers and thunderstorms may continue tomorrow evening before tapering to scattered chances overnight, with temperatures dropping to around 60. Next Sunday brings a sharp reset: mostly sunny skies, a high near 77, and northwest winds that could gust around 25 mph.

Next Monday should stay sunny and dry with another high near 77, while next Tuesday warms to about 80 and next Wednesday reaches near 82. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms returns next Wednesday afternoon and continues into next Thursday, when the high may climb to about 83.
