A prominent Milwaukee radio figure is facing a first-degree child sexual assault charge after a therapist's report led police to investigate allegations involving a girl under 12. Jordan Lee, 44, spent more than 15 years helping shape Radio Milwaukee's programming and leadership before the case brought his career to an abrupt halt.
Lee was charged Tuesday in Milwaukee County with first-degree sexual assault of a child under 12, according to Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The charge carries a mandatory minimum of 25 years of confinement and up to 60 years if he is convicted, while prosecutors will seek lifetime supervision, the newspaper reported.
What The Criminal Complaint Alleges
The complaint describes an alleged incident during the weekend of Oct. 25-26, 2025, when Lee said he woke up touching a young girl's lower stomach. The girl's mother later told police that the child said Lee touched her below the bellybutton while she was asleep, and the mother recorded what the child told her.
A Milwaukee police officer received a call from a psychiatrist on Oct. 28, 2025, about an email from a patient identified as Lee. In an alleged note, Lee wrote, “In the past I believe I did touch her privates,” and said he must have dreamed that he and the girl were having a tickle fight, according to the criminal complaint as reported by the Journal Sentinel.
Lee's Radio Milwaukee Career
Lee's influence at the station was not marginal. A Radio Milwaukee leadership announcement published through Urban Milwaukee said he had spent more than 15 years at the organization, was officially named executive director in April 2025 and helped create and launch HYFIN, its Urban Alternative channel focused on Black music and culture.
Radio Milwaukee said Lee's employment ended July 23, before the charge became public. In a statement to the Journal Sentinel, a station spokesperson said the organization was horrified by the allegations and was “sad and hurting” for the victims.
Potential Penalties
Wisconsin law treats first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13 as a Class B felony, according to the state's child sexual assault statute. A conviction in a case involving a child carries severe prison exposure, including a mandatory minimum for certain first-degree offenses.
Lee has not been convicted, and the allegations in a criminal complaint are not proof of guilt. The case now moves into Milwaukee County's court process, where prosecutors must prove the charge beyond a reasonable doubt.
