A Flood Watch remains in effect through 10 a.m. Thursday as repeated downpours could cause flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone spots. The National Weather Service advises drivers to avoid flooded roads, highway dips and underpasses, especially where water is moving or visibility is poor.
Rain showers are likely before 11 a.m., followed by a chance of showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon. Additional rainfall of roughly one-half inch to three-quarters of an inch is possible, and north winds should stay light at around 1 to 6 mph.
Friday Turns Sunny Before Weekend Storms
Thursday night brings only a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm before skies turn partly cloudy, with temperatures falling to around 64 degrees. Friday looks like the week’s easiest outdoor-weather day, with sunshine, light northeast winds and a high near 82.
The next unsettled stretch arrives Saturday, when showers and thunderstorms become likely from the afternoon into the evening. Sunday then turns sunny and cooler, with a high near 76 and a noticeably crisp overnight low around 58.
Cooler, Calmer Weather Arrives Next Week
Sunny and mostly clear conditions are expected Monday, with another high near 76. Tuesday stays mostly sunny and warmer at about 78 degrees, while Wednesday brings a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
