A woman has been identified as Katie Dennis after a single-vehicle crash overturned a pickup truck into a ditch in rural Florence County early Sunday, killing her and sending two other people to the hospital. The wreck happened around 1:25 a.m. near the intersection of Cockfield Road and Tranquility Road. Family members spoke about the loss.
According to WPDE, authorities said the pickup truck was the only vehicle involved and that it veered off the road before crashing into the ditch. Lance Cpl. Brittany Glover, cited by the station as the source for the crash location and time, said three people were riding in the truck. One occupant died at the scene, while the other two were taken to a hospital, authorities told the outlet.
