Hamilton Township’s National Night Out arrives at Oeder’s Lake tonight, turning the waterfront into a family-friendly first-responder meet-and-greet with water slides, a bubble foam pit, bounce houses, and fireworks. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m., so the evening’s community bonding comes with a strong chance of leaving at least a few kids soaked.
The Hamilton Township Police Department says the free event will include police and fire demonstrations, a police-versus-kids activity, a first-responder water-balloon toss, a petting zoo, balloon animals, a DJ, Kona Ice, and a donut-eating contest.
The township’s official event listing says residents can meet local police, fire personnel, supporting agencies, and community partners during the evening. Games, raffles, giveaways, and a fireworks display are also planned.
Water Features And First-Responder Games Lead The Lineup
Children can spend the evening moving between water slides, the bubble foam pit, bounce houses, and other activities, while adults can watch the demonstrations or try their luck in the donut-eating contest. The police department is specifically advising parents to bring swimsuits, towels, and a change of clothes for the wet attractions.
Warren County Post lists the event as free admission at Oeder’s Lake, with fireworks planned at dusk. Hamilton Township’s community-events calendar places National Night Out among the township’s annual opportunities for residents to connect with local first responders outside an emergency call.
The night is scheduled to wrap with fireworks by Ruzzi Fireworks, giving families one more reason to stick around after the water slides and foam pit have done their work.
