Folsom’s Harris Center is turning 15 with a season that looks less like a birthday toast and more like an all-out booking flex. The 2026-27 lineup brings country, pop, mariachi, ballet, Broadway, comedy, soul, big-band swing and dance to the Folsom Lake College campus. The first major celebration arrives Saturday, when the venue pairs food, wine and John Williams with a look back at its first act.
The Crystal Affair begins with a pre-concert reception before the Folsom Lake Symphony performs “The Best Movie Scores of John Williams.” According to the Harris Center’s anniversary page, the symphony was the first group to perform at the venue when it opened 15 years ago, making the event both a party and a neatly orchestrated origin story.
According to The Sacramento Bee, the season’s marquee bookings include Tracy Lawrence in September, Mariachi Herencia de México, Shanghai Ballet’s “Giselle,” Lyle Lovett and his Small Large Band, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Carpenters Songbook and Andy Grammer’s “Greater Than Pt. II: A One Man Show.” The calendar also stretches into 2027, with appearances from The Spinners, Riverdance, MOMIX and the dance production “Burn the Floor: Maks & Peta.”
Broadway, Ballet And Big-Band Swing Fill The Calendar
The official Harris Center calendar shows the season is not just a parade of touring musicians. Its Broadway slate includes “Beetlejuice,” “Jersey Boys,” “STOMP,” “The Wiz” and “Waitress,” while other listings bring in Menopause The Musical, Shanghai Ballet and a wide range of tribute and community productions.
The later stretch gets particularly eclectic, with Garrison Keillor performing alongside Heather Masse and Richard Dworsky, Jazz at Lincoln Center presenting “World on a String: Swinging Songs of Broadway,” and Colin Mochrie starring in “Hyprov” with master hypnotist Asad Mecci, the Bee reports. There are also holiday acrobatics from Cirque Musica, a full-band Carpenters homage and Classic Albums Live performing the Eagles’ greatest hits.
A 15th-Year Season Built For The Whole Region
The Harris Center’s anniversary year also highlights how much programming passes through the Folsom venue, from its own presentations to series operated by the Folsom Concert Association, Folsom Lake Symphony, Pops Chorale & Orchestra and El Dorado Musical Theatre. In other words, audiences do not need to pick one cultural lane for the next nine months; the venue has already paved several.
