An unidentified gunman walked into a 24-hour 7-Eleven on Northern Boulevard in Little Neck early Thursday, pointed a firearm at the 28-year-old clerk working the overnight shift, and demanded cash from the register before pedaling off on a bicycle with just $100. The robbery happened at approximately 4:28 a.m. at 246-15 Northern Boulevard, inside the confines of the NYPD's 111th Precinct, according to police.

According to NYPD Crime Stoppers, the suspect entered the store, brandished the firearm at the employee, and demanded money from the cash register before fleeing eastbound on Northern Boulevard on a bicycle. The location, identified by 7-Eleven as a 24-hour convenience store, would have been staffed overnight, which explains why the clerk was on duty at that hour. It remains unclear from available reports whether the employee was physically harmed during the encounter.

A Brazen Hit on a Low-Crime Corridor

The 111th Precinct, headquartered in Bayside, patrols a swath of northeastern Queens that includes Bayside, Douglaston, Little Neck, Auburndale, Hollis Hills, and Fresh Meadows, per the NYPD. Community safety app Citizen also logged an earlier, unconfirmed police alert at the same 246-15 Northern Boulevard address on August 6, roughly two weeks before Thursday's robbery, though it is not established whether that earlier alert was connected to the same store or suspect.

An Escape Route Toward the Nassau Line

The suspect's choice to flee by bicycle eastbound on Northern Boulevard is notable given the store's location. Northern Boulevard functions as a major east-west commercial corridor connecting eastern Queens directly into Nassau County on Long Island, offering direct vehicular and bicycle routes across the borough line, according to background compiled from Wikipedia. The commercial property itself sits on a high-value stretch of the boulevard. If caught, the suspect would face serious legal exposure.
