Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada will host its 13th Annual Sneaker Ball Gala on Thursday, September 10, from 5 to 9:30 p.m., and this year the party is happening inside the very clubhouse the money is meant to support. The event lands at the Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse in Henderson, mixing snazzy sneakers with business casual attire for a night that blends fundraising with a firsthand look at the nonprofit's youth programs.
According to KLAS 8 News Now, the gala will feature youth performances, a silent auction, facility tours, live music, and what the station describes as epic eats and beverages. The nonprofit is also seeking in-kind donations and auction items ahead of the event, and individual tickets, tables, sponsorship packages, and ticket bundles are all available for purchase. Per KNPR, individual tickets start at $250, with corporate sponsorship tiers ranging from $1,000 up to $40,000.
The decision to host the gala directly inside a clubhouse rather than a commercial resort venue was a deliberate financial move. Chief Development Officer Yolanda Mationg told Vegas Inc that skipping resort venue costs and holding the event at the Henderson clubhouse increased net event revenue by $25,000. It also puts donors and sponsors face-to-face with the facilities their contributions help fund, rather than confining the night to a hotel ballroom.
A Freshly Upgraded Host Facility
The Donald W. Reynolds Clubhouse has seen a wave of capital improvements in recent months that make it a fitting backdrop for the fundraiser. A new football field was unveiled there in June, built with funding from the Las Vegas Raiders Foundation and the LISC Grassroots Field Grant Program, as detailed by Raiders.com. That came after ForeverLawn Las Vegas completed a 17,000-square-foot SportsGrass synthetic turf installation at the clubhouse in October 2025, giving kids a durable, water-conserving outdoor play space.
The clubhouse also houses two Cox Innovation Labs, the second of which opened in August 2025 after a $25,000 donation from Cox Communications equipped the Teen Center with laptops, 3D printers, and high-speed internet, according to Nevada Business Magazine. Cox has now backed 15 innovation labs across Southern Nevada clubhouses as part of an effort to bridge the digital divide for local youth, the outlet reports.
Why the Fundraising Matters
Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada operates 13 to 14 clubhouses across Clark County, serving between 20,000 and 22,000 youth ages 5 to 18 each year, according to Non-Profit News Vegas. Most of those clubhouses serve economically disadvantaged communities, and the organization keeps its programs deliberately affordable: for the 2026 fall semester, annual membership costs $40, weekly before-school care runs $20, and after-school programming is priced at $40, per the same outlet's reporting.
That low-cost model depends on outside fundraising to cover the gap between what families pay and what programs actually cost, which is where events like the Sneaker Ball Gala come in. The organization has also been adjusting how it delivers services more broadly; in December 2025, it transferred its Lied Memorial Clubhouse to a charter school and shifted that programming onto school grounds to expand student access and reduce transportation barriers for families, Non-Profit News Vegas reported.
Andy Bischel has led Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada as President and CEO since 2016, following a merger that consolidated separate Las Vegas and Henderson organizations into one regional entity, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Statewide, Boys & Girls Clubs serve more than 37,000 youth across Nevada through out-of-school and summer programs aimed at academic success, healthy lifestyles, and leadership development, according to the Nevada Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs.
Tickets, sponsorship packages, and information on donating auction items for the September 10 gala are available through Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada ahead of the event at the Henderson clubhouse.
