Cleveland's Labor Day weekend is about to get a whole lot more taco-heavy. Cleveland Taco Fest returns to Jacobs Pavilion from Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7, bringing more than 30 taquerias, tequila tastings, live entertainment, and family-friendly contests to the downtown waterfront.
As reported by FOX 8 Cleveland, the festival will feature vendors serving everything from classic taco creations to more inventive festival fare. Organizer Justin Miller said taco lovers are being welcomed back to Jacobs Pavilion for another Cleveland Taco Festival.
According to the Cleveland Taco Fest website, advance admission is $7, while tickets at the gate cost $10. Children under 10 are free, and the festival will run from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and noon to 8 p.m. Monday.
What's On The Cleveland Taco Fest Schedule
The weekend lineup includes Lucha Libre wrestling, a taco-eating competition and the Day of the Dead hot sauce challenge. FOX 8 Cleveland reports that live music and activities will be spread across the festival's two stages, giving visitors plenty to do between taco runs.
Featured vendors are expected to include Barrio, Don Polo Mexican, Sig Tacos, Wholly Frijoles, Braised in the CLE, Taco Veloz and Cousins Maine Lobster, according to the festival's official site. The event will also offer tequila tastings, margaritas, and Mexican and craft beer, with tequila samples sold in flights of three or six.
