Houston is about to get a very loud dose of family entertainment as Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire rolls into Toyota Center this weekend. The spectacle features two Saturday performances and a Sunday matinee, with fire, glow effects, freestyle motocross and trucks that make a toy-box racetrack look adorably undersized. The headline newcomer is Rhinomite, a rhino-themed monster truck making its live debut this season.
According to Click2Houston, Houston fans will be among the first to see Rhinomite in action. The new truck joins Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, HW 5-Alarm, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot and Skelesaurus in a lineup built for toy-box nostalgia with arena-sized mayhem.
The official Houston listing says this year's Glow-N-Fire production adds enhanced pyro effects, dazzling lighting and new stunts. A transforming robot and the Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Freestyle Motocross Team are also part of the show.
Houston Showtimes And Pre-Show Access
Saturday's matinee starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by an evening performance at 6:30 p.m.; Sunday's show begins at 1:30 p.m. Doors open one hour before each performance, and Toyota Center says its box office is closed for renovations, so fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online.
The separate Pre-Show Party is scheduled for 9 a.m. before Saturday's matinee, 4 p.m. before Saturday night's show and 11 a.m. Sunday. The tour schedule says the add-on gives fans access to the competition floor for close-up truck views, driver interactions, autograph opportunities and a themed play zone.
Rhinomite Leads A High-Flying New Act
The weekend's stunt headline is an all-new no-handed front flip attempted by the FMX riders, alongside other never-before-seen tricks. The venue listing bills the show as a summer family attraction where fans can see Rhinomite and the trucks up close before the engines start roaring.
Special kids pricing is advertised for the tour, giving Houston families an option built around younger fans without stripping away the spectacle for adults. With flames, lasers, crashing cars and a giant rhino-themed truck on the bill, Glow-N-Fire is bringing a particularly noisy version of weekend family time to downtown Houston.
