Grammy-winning R&B star Kehlani returns to Metro Detroit this Thursday, and fans who haven't locked in tickets yet still have options starting under $70. The show hits the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights on Aug. 13 at 6:30 p.m. ET, part of a stretch of career highs for the singer following two Grammy wins earlier this year.
As reported by MLive.com, fans can purchase tickets through Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, StubHub, and Ticketmaster. As of publication, Vivid Seats listed lawn tickets starting at $67, SeatGeek at $68, and StubHub at $81, while Ticketmaster's lowest listed price sat considerably higher at $133.28 in Section 700C. Vivid Seats is also offering new customers $20 off any ticket priced at $200 or more using the code MLIVE20. The outlet notes that all of these prices are subject to change based on availability at the time of publication.
A Career Riding High Off Grammy Gold
Kehlani arrives in Sterling Heights fresh off a banner year. The singer won her first two career Grammy Awards at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 1, taking home Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song for her hit single “Folded,” according to Rated R&B. She also performed at the 2026 BET Awards on June 28 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, per MLive's reporting.
Her self-titled 2026 album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, marking the year's biggest R&B album debut by a female artist, according to venue operator 313 Presents. The same lead single, “Folded,” became the longest-running No. 1 song in Billboard's Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart history, holding the top spot for more than 17 weeks. Thursday's Sterling Heights stop will also feature supporting sets from Durand Bernarr, Isaia Huron, TheARTI$t, DIXSON, and WASEEL, per the venue's announcement.
A Charitable Add-On For Tour Stops
Live Nation and 313 Presents also announced that Kehlani partnered with PLUS1 to contribute $1 from every ticket sold on “The Kehlani World Tour” to The Kehlani Fund. PLUS1 coordinates similar artist-led charitable add-ons at major concert venues across the country, folding a philanthropic layer into what is otherwise a straightforward tour stop.
Return Trip To A Familiar Stage
This isn't Kehlani's first time playing the Sterling Heights amphitheater. She previously performed there on Sept. 10, 2024, during her 31-city Crash World Tour, according to tour documentation on Wikipedia. Before scaling up to outdoor amphitheaters, Kehlani built her Metro Detroit fan base at smaller indoor venues, including a headlining date at the Fox Theatre on Aug. 22, 2022, during her Blue Water Road Trip tour, plus earlier stops at Saint Andrew's Hall and The Fillmore Detroit.
The Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre itself has deep roots in the region's concert history. The venue originally opened on July 24, 1991, as Freedom Hill Amphitheatre, debuting with performances from Motown legends The Four Tops and The Beach Boys, according to historical records published by Cvent. It underwent $6 million in capital renovations in 2016 and now holds roughly 7,200 to 7,310 guests, split between about 4,200 covered pavilion seats and 3,000 general admission lawn spots.

All concerts at the amphitheater operate under a strict rain-or-shine policy, so ticket holders shouldn't expect a reschedule if weather turns on Thursday, according to 313 Presents. General parking in the venue's lots is included with ticket purchases and typically opens at 4 p.m. for evening shows. The venue is operated by 313 Presents, a Detroit venue management company whose roster also includes Little Caesars Arena, Comerica Park, the Fox Theatre, Pine Knob Music Theatre, and Meadow Brook Amphitheatre, as previously reported by Hoodline.
For fans still weighing whether to grab a seat, the math is simple: lawn tickets remain available for less than the price of dinner out, even as pavilion sections and Ticketmaster listings climb well past the $100 mark.
