A person was rushed to a Charlotte hospital with life-threatening injuries after a stabbing at a south Charlotte gas station Monday night. The attack was reported around 10:20 p.m., but police have not publicly explained what led to it. The victim was not identified in the initial report.
According to WSOC-TV, the stabbing happened at a gas station on South Boulevard just off Archdale Drive. MEDIC reported that one person was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police Have Not Released Arrest Details
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police had not confirmed whether an arrest had been made when Channel 9 published its initial update, and no suspect description or motive was available. The station said it had requested more information from CMPD as the investigation continued.
The case remains a developing story, with officials expected to release additional details if they become available. WSOC-TV reported that the circumstances surrounding the stabbing were still unclear Tuesday morning.
Another South Charlotte Stabbing This Year
The latest incident follows a March stabbing on Tyvola Road that also sent one person to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Hoodline's earlier report. That case occurred at a different location, and no connection between the incidents has been reported.
