Parts of Duncanville and surrounding communities were without electricity last night as Oncor crews worked on critical equipment, with the outage potentially stretching into this morning. Residents were warned that restoration could take several hours while crews completed the necessary repairs.
In an evening update, the Duncanville Police Department said Oncor crews were making repairs and working to restore service “as quickly and safely as possible.” The update also included Spanish-language information and said additional notices would be shared as they became available.
How Duncanville Residents Can Check Restoration Status
Residents who are still without power can report the outage or check its status through Oncor’s outage portal, by calling 888-313-4747, or by texting “OUT” to 66267. Oncor says outage information is sent to its online map every 10 minutes, although updates may take longer during periods of heavy traffic.
The City of Duncanville has also directed residents to report outages directly to Oncor so crews can identify repair locations and respond. No specific restoration time was provided in the police department’s update, leaving the utility’s outage tracker and subsequent city notices as the best sources for neighborhood-level updates.
