Police are searching for four to eight masked men after an Odenton man was approached, knocked to the ground, and robbed early Saturday. The group allegedly made it appear they were armed, then fled before officers reached the area.
The victim had just left a residence when the encounter began, according to a report by Shore News Network. He told officers that he felt a metallic object pressed against his chest before the suspects took his personal property and ran.
Masked Group Left Investigators With Few Details
The suspects were described only as four to eight males wearing masks. Western District officers responded at about 1:20 a.m. to a nearby location after the victim reported the robbery, but the group was gone by the time police arrived.
No injuries were reported, and police have released no further identifying information, Shore News Network reported. The available account does not establish whether the metallic object was a firearm, and the robbery remains under investigation.
