The National Weather Service Denver/Boulder office expects mostly sunny skies through late morning before isolated showers and thunderstorms become possible after noon. The rain chance is only 20%, but gusty outflow winds could be the main nuisance for people outdoors.
Hot Friday And Saturday
Friday night should turn partly cloudy with a low near 65 degrees, while any showers or storms should remain isolated and taper off before midnight. Saturday brings another hot day near 95 degrees, followed by a 30% chance of afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
Storm coverage increases Sunday, when Denver is forecast to reach about 91 degrees with a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning around midday. Monday looks cooler at roughly 87 degrees, but another 50% rain-and-storm chance remains in the afternoon.
Drier Weather Returns Midweek
The unsettled stretch should ease after Monday night, although Tuesday could still feel warm under mostly sunny skies with a high near 88. Sunny or mostly sunny conditions return Wednesday and Thursday, with highs around 91 degrees and only limited rain chances.
For Friday and Saturday plans, the best bet is to schedule strenuous outdoor activities earlier in the day, drink plenty of water and keep an eye on quickly building clouds after noon. There are no watches, warnings or advisories listed for the area, but brief thunderstorms can still produce sudden wind gusts even when rainfall is limited.
