According to FOX6 News Milwaukee, the festival opens with a discount built right into opening day: bring school supplies to donate outside the main gate on Thursday and get in free, with the haul benefiting Hope House Milwaukee. Children 12 and under get in free every day of the run, and college students can shave $3 off admission all day Saturday with a valid student ID at any gate ticket window.
Seniors 60 and older can also buy in for a flat $20 at any gate ticket window, per the same report. Active military members get free admission plus one guest by showing valid service ID at any gate, and veterans receive free admission plus a guest all day Sunday, with a dedicated spot to relax at the Onóir Lookout inside the park.
Sunday's Food Drive and Early Liturgy
Sunday carries its own discount built around charity. Anyone who brings a nonperishable food donation to the south gate between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. gets in free, with the donations supporting the Hunger Task Force, the station's report notes. The south gate opens at 8 a.m. that morning specifically for a Liturgy for Peace and Justice service, and food donors can grab morning refreshments from nearby vendors inside the south gate before the rest of the festival opens to the public at 11 a.m.
Sunday attendees can also get a hand stamp for re-entry until 9 p.m., according to FOX6. Runners in Saturday's Arthritis Foundation 5K Run/Walk to Irish Fest earn free festival admission simply by finishing the race that day.

Donate Irish Music, Get Two Free Tickets
There's also a niche path to free entry for collectors. Those donations must be delivered to the main gate. Beyond the gate deals, this year's festival debuts a major cultural addition. The University of Galway's Imirce Project is bringing the Kerby A. Miller Collection — more than 7,000 letters and memoirs documenting 19th- and 20th-century Irish emigrant experiences in North America — to the festival's Theatre Pavilion and Hedge School, according to Milwaukee Irish Fest. The exhibit will include live readings of the letters alongside dedicated displays exploring the emigrant journey.

The policy requires clear bags no larger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches or small non-clear clutches capped at 6 by 9 inches, with exceptions made for essential medical supplies and diaper bags, which are subject to inspection.
