Winter Garden has a new spot for Italian-style sweets, and it is bringing more than just scoops. Neve di Latte held its grand opening Sunday with handcrafted gelato, Sicilian brioche, traditional cannoli, freshly baked focaccia and Italian coffee.
The shop’s menu also includes a Sunshine-State-inspired Flavor of Florida gelato, giving the new arrival at least one local twist. The opening was first reported by West Orange Times & Observer.
Neve Di Latte Serves Gelato Alongside Italian Bites
Neve di Latte is positioning itself as more of a small Italian café than a one-purpose ice cream counter. Along with its artisan gelato, the shop serves baked focaccia, Sicilian brioche, cannoli and coffee, according to the local report.
The business is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. It is closed Mondays, giving the gelateria one weekly day to let the freezers — and presumably the staff — catch their breath, the newspaper reported.
Another Italian-Style Dessert Stop Joins Winter Garden
Neve di Latte enters a Winter Garden dessert scene that already includes Gelato Go, which operates on Plant Street with artisanal gelato, espresso drinks, cappuccinos, pastries and a drive-through setup. The existing shop describes its menu and location on its official website.
That gives local dessert fans two distinctly different ways to get an Italian-style frozen treat: a new gelateria pairing gelato with Sicilian pastries and focaccia, and an established drive-through café built around gelato and coffee. Neve di Latte’s Florida-inspired flavor may be the clearest sign that this new shop intends to put a local stamp on the Italian tradition.
