A 20-year-old man was stabbed twice in the back outside a Bronx nightlife spot early on Saturday, July 25, and more than two weeks later, police still have not identified the attacker. NYPD Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case, which unfolded around 3:33 a.m. in front of 3700 Jerome Avenue in Norwood.
According to Norwood News, the address sits beneath the Woodlawn subway station terminal at the corner of Jerome and Bainbridge avenues, the northern end of the 4 line, and is currently home to the nightlife venue Made in The Bronx. The outlet reported the victim suffered wounds to his back and shoulder before being taken in stable condition to St. Barnabas Hospital. Police say the unidentified attacker fled on foot southbound on Jerome Avenue, according to the NYPD Crime Stoppers alert, which was shared on X.

Police Confirm 3:37 A.M. Response
NYPD officers responded to a 911 dispatch at 3:37 a.m. regarding the stabbing in front of 3700 Jerome Avenue, per a report from News 12 Bronx. Emergency dispatches for the block are routed through the NYPD's 52nd Precinct, which covers Norwood, Bedford Park, Fordham and Kingsbridge. A Troubled Address With a Long History
The stabbing is the latest in a string of violent incidents tied to the exact same storefront. In April 2023, a 45-year-old man was shot to death outside 3700 Jerome Avenue near the Woodlawn subway station entrance, the same report notes. The following month, police sought two suspects who beat and slashed a 29-year-old man across the face and head during a 3:00 a.m. dispute at the location; that victim was also taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
The pattern stretches back further still. A 2016 press release from the City of New York FDNY Press Office stated that Fire Marshals arrested two men for second-degree arson after they doused the rear entrance of 3700 Jerome Avenue with gasoline and set it ablaze following a dispute inside the venue, which at the time operated as the Woodlawn Café. Public minutes from New York City Community Board 7 show that as early as February 2020, NYPD 52nd Precinct crime prevention officers briefed local leaders on violent incidents at the address that stemmed from fights inside the venue spilling onto the street.
Precinct-Wide Crime Numbers Climbing
The stabbing arrives amid a broader rise in violent crime across the surrounding precinct. NYPD CompStat statistics reported by Norwood News on August 9 showed that year-to-date major crime in the 52nd Precinct was up across multiple categories, including murder, robbery and felony assault, compared to the same period in 2025. A separate crime analysis published by Vital City in January 2025 found that six of New York City's top 10 precincts for violent crime are located in the Bronx, more than any other borough in the city.
State Liquor Authority records from December 2025 show that 3700 Jerome Avenue holds an all-night permit granted to Made In The Bronx LLC, allowing the venue to operate into the early morning hours when the stabbing occurred. It remains unknown whether surveillance cameras at the Woodlawn station or the venue captured the attacker fleeing southbound down Jerome Avenue, and whether the confrontation began inside the club before spilling onto the street, as has happened in past incidents at the address.
