A 40-year-old woman was found dead inside a Borough Park apartment before dawn Saturday, leaving police and medical examiners to determine how she died. No arrests have been reported, and the woman’s identity has not been released.
What Police Have Confirmed
According to News 12 Brooklyn, NYPD officers responded to a 911 aided call around 3:42 a.m. and found the woman unconscious and unresponsive inside the residence. EMS pronounced her dead at the scene, police said.
The case remains a death investigation, not a confirmed homicide case. The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner is responsible for determining the cause and manner of death in cases that fall under its jurisdiction, including sudden or suspicious deaths.
Authorities have not publicly identified the woman or described what led to the emergency call. The investigation remains ongoing, with the medical examiner’s findings expected to provide the next major clue in the Borough Park case.
