Mostly sunny skies will hold through midday as temperatures rise quickly, reaching the low 90s around lunchtime. The National Weather Service in Melbourne puts Wednesday's rain chance near 60%, with light south-southeast winds and storm coverage expected to be higher inland than along the coast.

The strongest storms could bring frequent lightning, wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph and torrential downpours. Forecasters say isolated rainfall totals could reach 3 inches, raising the risk of localized urban flooding, although no watches or warnings are currently posted for the area.

Storms are likely to continue into Wednesday evening before tapering off ahead of 11 p.m. Orlando should then turn partly cloudy, with temperatures settling near 75 degrees and another three-quarters of an inch of rain possible in the wettest spots.

Thursday and Friday will keep the familiar Central Florida routine going: mostly sunny and hot first, followed by afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Highs should stay near 94 degrees, while rain chances rise to 60% Thursday and 70% Friday; an earlier Orlando forecast outlined a similar setup, though the current outlook carries a wetter stretch into the weekend.

Saturday should reach about 93 degrees with a 70% chance of afternoon storms, while Sunday and Monday bring thunderstorms after 8 a.m. and an 80% rain chance. The storm focus may shift farther inland as onshore winds strengthen, meaning some beachside areas could stay drier while Orlando and other interior communities see more frequent downpours.
