A Decade of Growth on the Mainstage

Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan is set to lead the festival's ceremonial Diya lighting, continuing a tradition tied to a past mayoral proclamation designating a citywide Diwali Celebration Day, the outlet notes. A Growing Venue to Match a Growing Crowd
Centennial Plaza, located at 301 W. Bagdad Ave., opened in Spring 2007 and was purpose-built by the city with a performance lawn, tiered grass amphitheater, public art sculptures, and electrical systems designed for street festivals, according to the City of Round Rock. The plaza also includes a bat observation overlook and water features along Brushy Creek. To help more residents reach the site without driving, the city is building the Lake Creek Trail, a 10-foot-wide concrete pedestrian path with a bridge over Lake Creek and an underpass at Interstate 35 that will connect western Round Rock neighborhoods directly to Centennial Plaza, funded through voter-approved capital bonds.
