Wednesday Brings The Week’s Peak Heat
Wednesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week, with sunny skies and a high near 97 degrees. Thursday will remain hot at around 96 degrees, while overnight lows stay in the low to mid-60s. Winds should generally remain light, blowing from the south and southwest.
Weekend Temperatures Ease Back
The forecast begins to moderate Friday, when Sacramento should top out near 92 degrees. Highs are expected to fall to about 90 Saturday and 89 Sunday, followed by a more noticeable cooldown to 84 degrees Monday. Overnight temperatures will dip into the upper 50s and low 60s by the weekend.
Dry Conditions Continue Across The Region
The National Weather Service outlook keeps Sacramento dry through Monday, with rain chances at or near zero. Forecasters also noted elevated fire-weather concerns Monday in parts of the northern Sacramento Valley and northeastern foothills because of low humidity and breezy winds, though those conditions were expected to improve overnight and Tuesday.
