Triple-Digit Heat Sticks Around
Tuesday will again reach about 100 degrees, with heat-index values as high as 104. Highs are forecast near 101 from Wednesday through Sunday, while overnight lows only dip to the upper 70s. The National Weather Service says the dry, rain-free pattern will continue across South Central Texas through the weekend.
Winds will offer little relief, staying mostly between calm and 10 mph from the south or southeast. Gusts could reach 20 mph on Wednesday and Thursday nights, but the broader forecast remains sunny and settled. Rain chances stay at zero through Friday, then rise only slightly to 4% Saturday and 2% Sunday.
Plan Outdoor Time Before The Afternoon Peak
Anyone working or exercising outside should shift strenuous activity earlier in the day when possible, take frequent breaks and drink water before thirst sets in. The City of San Antonio recommends using air-conditioned places such as libraries, pools, community centers and malls for relief during dangerous heat, while checking on older neighbors, children and people with special needs.
