Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 99 and heat index values as high as 103. Wednesday is expected to be the hottest day in the near-term forecast, reaching about 100 degrees, while Thursday stays mostly sunny near 99. Storm Chances Increase Late This Week
Most of the week remains hot and largely dry, but slight rain and thunderstorm chances begin appearing Thursday night and continue into Friday and Saturday. Those chances sit near 20% before increasing to 30% Sunday afternoon, when temperatures are still expected to reach about 98 degrees. Any storms that develop would be scattered rather than a sign of a broad, soaking change in the pattern.
