Sunny Afternoon Follows A Gray Start
The National Weather Service expects Monday’s winds to stay light early, around 3 mph, then turn northerly at roughly 4 to 8 mph this afternoon, according to its forecast discussion. Rain chances remain near zero in the city, making it a solid day for patios, parks and errands that do not require a jacket by lunch.
Monday night will be mostly clear with a low near 58. Tuesday looks nearly identical but a touch warmer, with sunshine and a high near 77.
Midweek Mountain Showers Stay Mostly Away
Wednesday stays mostly sunny in Seattle with a high near 76 and only a 10% chance of precipitation. The bigger weather wrinkle is north and east of the city, where a passing system could bring isolated showers and thunderstorms to the northern Cascades Wednesday afternoon and evening.
After that, the forecast tilts warmer and remains mostly dry. Thursday should reach 79, Friday 82 and Saturday 81, before Sunday eases back to 78 with partly sunny skies.
Seattle has no land watches or warnings in the forecast. Mariners should note a small craft advisory for parts of the Strait of Juan de Fuca Monday afternoon into early Tuesday, the National Weather Service said, while conditions in the city remain calm and seasonable.
